Please take note that for number 8, 9, 10 & 11, we are changing the time to 0900 - 1200 hrs! Hence, it won't be afternoon training in the hot sun! :)

All ODAC members must prepare reflections for the NJCC in the following format:

b. What have I observed about myself and my team during the event of NJCC over the 2 days?

NJCC 2011

Hello all,

Saturday
Attire: PE & tights
Reporting time for competitors: 8.15am
Reporting time for non-competitors: 10am ~ 2pm (Lastest, if not punishment)
Non-competitors, you are to attend the MTPS first and then head to Bedok Reservoir by yourself. If you are coming down early and have not had lunch pls SMS Kimberlyn by 11am so we can buy lunch for you.
End time: Around 6pm (Be prepared for delays)

Sunday
Attire: Jersey, PE (Sec 1s) & tights
Reporting time: 8.15am
Lunch is provided, bring other snacks if you need but try not to bring unhealthy ones.
End time: Around 7pm (Be prepared for delays)

Competitors, bring your EZ-link card/passport, ziplock, sand, waterbottle, shoes, slippers, sunglasses.

Non-competitors, you have land training, so bring your shoes, sunglasses, slippers (optional), waterbottle.

Bring mats and binoculars to watch the race everyone! Jiayou for NJCC. Woots!

Those who have tuition or whatsoever need to leave early pls SMS me too!

Canoeing Training Resumes

Training officially starts on 20th January, Thursday.
For all levels. It will be Canoeing training.

Please be at the foyer in PE attire at 2.45pm sharp.

Things to bring:
  • Sports shoes
  • Waterbottle
  • Slippers
  • Sunblock
  • Extra shirt


  • We will be heading to Bedok Reservoir by chartered bus and you will be dismissed from there at around 6.30pm (there might be delays).

    Have a light lunch or if you have no time, bring/buy snacks to eat on the bus.

    Sec 1s, please feel free to approach the seniors if you have any queries.

    Hi people!! This is your starting times for the upcoming Singapore Canoe Marathon 2011!

    K1 Novice Women : 8.38am
    U15 Novice : 8.44am & 8.46am

    K1 Junior Women : 2.06pm
    K2 Junior Women : 2.02pm

    Please be at the starting line earlier that your actual race time. :)

    CCA Fair/Canoe Marathon

    Attendance
    Never come, no valid reason = DC. You know who you are, this is seriously getting out of hand.

    CCA Fair/Shifting of boats (Saturday)
    Mr. Ang will split us up, some will shift boats, some will help with the CCA fair. We'll tell you more details later on.
    Attendance is COMPULSARY for the CCA Fair.
    & Jiayou for best CCA booth :)

    After the CCA Fair & shifting of boats, we'll all be going down to the floating platform area to have a briefing on the route for the marathon.

    Canoe Marathon (Sunday)
    Those taking part in Novice please report at 7.15am at the floating platform.
    Those taking part in Junior please report at 1pm at the floating platform.
    Wear jersey, tights & THICK SOCKS (for portage).
    Please do know the race course well & clarify if you are unsure of anything.

    Ophir Details

    Other things you would have to bring for the trip:

  • Bring 5 A4 size ziplocks
    1) to put your Ophir Journal
    2) used as emergency bag, put in: photocopy of passport and money
    3) 4) 5) Used for clothes
  • Sunblock & Moisturiser
  • 2 plastic bags eg. those supermarket bags 1) Dirty Clothes 2) Trash
  • 4 Muesli Bars
  • Pencil Case with writing materials


  • Have the following in your Ophir Journal:

  • Important self-care skills for trekking expeditions
  • What is the best way to climb a mountain?
  • Ways & techniques to walk & trek up a hill
  • Types of flora & fauna on the terrain of Gunung Ledang
  • How was I mentally & physically prepared for this trip?


  • Also, Go to youtube and search for Mt. Ophir and watch the videos.

    What to wear?
    Come to school in PE shirt & track pants.
    We are climbing the mountain in PE shirt and track pants too.
    Last day, no need to wear PE, wear your own shirt.

    Just so you know,
    1) Training will not be canceled due to weather unless an sms stating that it is canceled is sent down. (keep checking your phone in case)

    2) If you are not coming for training, please inform your level reps and coach, and bring an MC or letter with valid reason the next time you come - or else, your attendance will not be marked.



    Important! For those going for the Mt. Ophir trip here are 3 additional things which must be brought.

    1. KC Jacket

    2. Sleeping Bag


    3. Eagle Eyes Sunglasses


    If you do not own them, borrow or buy.

    Lastly, bring a photocopy of your EOY results and hand it in to Charlotte or Jolene by next Monday.

    Please keep 25th November 2010, Thursday FREE. Mr. Juraimy wants to mobilise ODAC members for this. This is your CIP opportunity.

    e. Format: Presentation + Workshop + Talkshow + Video Presentation
    f. Guests: people from sports council,
    well-respected coaches,
    YOG athletes etc
    g: Rationale: Ms Lam wants to thank all sports girls for their contribution to the SAA (sports) this year.
    We are working and planning for 2011 sports calendar and workplan.

    So lunch will be provided as a thank you gesture.

    Holiday Training

    Hello all :)

    Please take note of some changes during Week 3 of the holidays.
    1. training on 15th June (Tues) will be Canoeing @ Bedok Reservoir
    2. training on 20th June (Sat) will be Dragon Boat @ Kallang.
    Please be there by 8.40am for Dragon Boat trainings. P.S. We are running for all trainings.
    Also pass your current jersey size (Red Jersey) to Kimberlyn asap.

    these are the dates for the afternoon study sessions in school: 8th and 13th of May. Sessions are held in the AVA Theatrette at 2.15. Please give your names to your respective representatives by TODAY.

    Dragonboat Training will start on:

    (For both 'C' and 'B' Division)
    22nd May (Friday. After school, 2.40 Foyer.)
    23rd May (Saturday. 8.30, Kallang)
    27th May (Wednesday. After school, 2.40 Foyer.)
    29th May (Friday. After school, 2.40 Foyer.)

    June Training Dates:

    'C' Division - 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th, 19th, 22nd and 24th.

    'B' Division - 3rd, 5th, 10th, 12th, 15th, 19th, 22nd and 24th.

    This is tentatively the schedule for the Dragonboat Trainings, any changes will be made by sms.

    For tomorrow's finals of NJCC, everyone must be present at MacRitchie Reservoir by 8 a.m.
    There will be a group meeting at Bedok MRT at 7.05 a.m.
    Please confirm with Sonya if you are coming, mobile number on relay system.

    We want to be able to get all your jersey sizes by the end of next week. If you do see this notice, please do inform your sizes to Sonya as soon as possible.

    Dear all, please note:

    'C' Division girls (Secondary 1s and 2s)
    - Trainings on Thursdays and Saturdays are compulsory.
    - Trainings on Tuesdays are optional.

    'B' Division girls (Secondary 3s, 4s and 5s)
    - Trainings on Tuesdays and Saturdays are compulsory.
    - Trainings on Thursdays are optional.

    Although some of the trainings are optional, it would be advisable to attend all training sessions to put in more practice for the upcoming competitions.

    There will be a meeting Friday, 30 January 2009 (Tomorrow).

    Attendance is complusory. This will be accounted as 3 sessions of ODAC.
    It will be an hour and fifteen minutes long.

    Bring a good pen with plenty of ink for this meeting.
    Be outside the Computer Lab 2 by 2.30p.m. sharp.

    All those that have not yet given your letters to Mr. Juraimy, please do so tomorrow.
    The letter must include:
    - Any problems you face (Academically, At Home, In School)
    - Your 2 worst and best subjects

    Bring five dollars for the ODAC fund and bus fare.

    If this is the description of your school shoes I suggest that you inform your level representatives as soon as possible. This will be your last chance to claim them. They will be disposed by 29 January 2009

    Attention!

    Dear All,

    The attire for all trainings will follow this*:

    Tuesday: Black/Green Jersey
    Thursday: PE Attire
    Saturday: Black/Green Jersey

    We will be making the new jersey soon in the colours of Red/Black with the image to the left. In any case, the attire schedule will still be followed as the Secondary Ones do not have the Black/Green Jersey. We will consider a remake.
    For Tuesday & Thursday trainings,
    Be @ the Foyer by 2.40pm sharp!
    The bus will not wait for you.

    Any absentee must inform her level representative of her absence with valid reason proven by either a letter by a parent/guardian or a medical certificate. Arriving at Bedok Reservoir after 3.30pm** or after 7.45am*** will be considered late and punishments will be carried out.
    *Any changes will be mass messaged to all.
    ** On Tuesdays and Thursdays (Weekday Trainings)
    *** On Saturdays
